Our story
We decided to go solar back in 2012 because we truly care about the environmental impact of our operations. Since the inception of our brewery, we have been doing as much as we can to bring attention to the environmental issues we are facing. We believe we can bring attention to these issues by being a thought leader in our community. One of the many ways we do this, is by paying more for solar energy. Through our energy utility, solar energy is more expensive, but we currently get 600 kWh every month in solar energy. This made up over 6% of our energy usage in 2018. Our investment in solar has brought attention to the ability of different residential communities and commercial properties to incorporate renewable energy into their business practices. We are very glad to be in this position, as sustainability is a huge priority for us. We were one of the first businesses to join the Tucson 2030 District Network (who’s goal is to decrease power, fuel, and water consumption by 50% by 2030) and we have just signed on to the national #WeAreStillin signon letter affirming the Paris climate accords. Investing in Solar has, and will make a huge impact to our triple bottom line. We are excited to announce that we are currently looking into the feasibility of adding our own array to our new production facility.
