Our story

We’re a locally owned family venture with a long tradition of brewing craft beer. We’re always working to find better ways to make our business more sustainable and environmentally friendly, from the smallest details, like biodegradable straws, to the composting of all our leftover food scraps. Solar panels have been in our plans for years, so we’re thrilled that we’ve finally been able to get this project done. We started off with a strip of land in Canal Park, keeping it from being turned into another parking lot, we invested considerable time and money into cleaning up years of soil contamination left over from a long history of industrial pollution. Today our brewery sits on pristine land with amazing views of Lake Superior and downtown Duluth. Continual efforts are made to support other local businesses, the community, and the environment, as well as provide high-quality food and drink with sustainably sourced ingredients, often organic and local.
